Did you see that Frasier where he throws the guy out the coffee shop for taking his table?!?!
Okay---probably not because that show is really old...(we are watching it on Netflix right now and I really love it-so funny!!)
The point is--today is one of those days where I am just kind of fed up with the annoying things bugging me and I kind of want to throw someone out of a coffee shop. (Luckily Taco Bell therapy has eased my frustrations a bit...)
You probably know that we are big believers in Craigslist. I realize there is some hassle and pain that comes with it but for the most part, we have gotten some great deals and been able to sell stuff pretty easily! I think Houstonians have a problem with proper Craigslist Etiquette though. If I could post this somewhere on the website I would!
Here's my beef...
Last night I emailed 5 people about strollers for sale. Only 1 person responded to me. That seems like a pretty small percentage to me!!! There were no phone numbers for these people or I would have called them. So whats the problem here...
1. They really don't care about selling it. If they did, they would check their email more frequently in order to respond to interested buyers. OR they would put a phone number on the posting. We recently sold something in less than 24 hours.
2. They already sold the item. This is usually the reason. But if so--Delete your post!!! It's not that hard people. My real problem though is that they don't tell you they sold it--they just choose to NOT respond to your email. What is so hard about saying--sold it thanks. That is only about 14 key strokes folks (including the reply and send button). I have had 2 experiences lately. One lady was ready to meet us so we could buy her Christmas tree. She said she would call when she was leaving. She NEVER called. She sold it and couldn't even email us to tell us not to meet her after all. Same thing happened today. I said I want to pick up the item...no response--even though she led me to believe I could buy it if I wanted to.
I understand that it is first come first serve, with the most cash--but please just let me know that the item is not available so I don't have to keep wondering!!
Sorry for my rant--just had to get it out.
Also--I have to find a new pediatrician before the baby comes. I am so sad about it. I love the doctor we see now. All because of insurance companies--blah. My husband doesn't understand why this is tough for me--I know its not the end of the world but *sigh* it sucks...I know there are moms out there that feel my pain.
