I am trying a new thing this year to record in my journal more often. Some people keep a box with notecards that have a date of everyday of the year. Each day they record a couple of short things on that day. Then you can pull it out later like a little journal. I am going to attempt to do this often-probably not every day. They won't be very long and sometimes it might just be a picture. Here we go...
- Today we toured Rice University and the Medical District. This is an adorable community. I can see why people want to live there and why it is expensive.
- We also visited The Houston Heights--an upcoming historic area that is an interesting mixture of new and redone bungalows. This area reminds me very much of the North End in Boise but is a bit sketchier in some parts. I would want a big iron fence around my house if I lived there but we loved it. We found an amazing park there called Donovan Park that Jackson could play at for hours!
- Took down our Christmas Tree and put it in the attic! I feel so accomplished. We also finalized our savings accounts and created the automatic transactions that will occur. Also got closer to finalizing our budget or it may be done! We will see...
