A Quiet Christmas

Here is what Christmas looked like at our house this year...
This was our first year alone.  It was quiet and relaxing and fun!  I really loved it.  On Sunday we did miss our family a lot but our trip to NOLA was a good fix.
We had our traditional Christmas Crepes with a twist--Nutella!  We almost had a crisis on our hands when we realized Christmas Eve that we had no powdered sugar.  But Nutella at Walgreens saved the day.
We actually opened our gifts on Christmas Eve.  What can I say--we are a pretty impatient family!  But we thought we would have more fun if we didn't have to get ready for church right after unwrapping fun new toys.

These pics were taken with OUR Christmas present--a new camera.  I love it and am so excited.  I have been taking a million pictures a day.  Ryan is also enjoying it--it is a pretty fancy piece of electronic commitment so we are having fun together learning about it.

Talk about the best gift ever--this one is from Grandma Carter!  All of my gifts pretty much failed :)  He played with his car all day after getting it and still every morning climbs in.
